This Privacy Policy explains how Stellarizon Digitals Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), the developer of the Cosmic Daily: Horoscope & Sky mobile app ("Cosmic Daily", the "App"), collects, uses and protects your information. We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO Reg. ZC057718).
In short: We collect the minimum needed to run the App. We never sell your personal data. Location is optional. You can delete your account and data at any time.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details — your email address and password (stored securely, hashed) when you create an account.
- Profile & astrology data — your name, birth date, and optionally birth time and place, used to generate horoscopes and your birth chart.
- Content you create — journal entries, saved readings, favourites and compatibility profiles you choose to store.
Information collected automatically
- Location (optional) — only if you grant permission, used to show ISS passes, visible planets, stargazing conditions and local sun/moon times. It is used on-device and in requests to sky-data services; we do not store your precise location history.
- Device & usage data — basic technical information (device type, OS version, app version) and in-app activity used to keep the App running reliably.
- Advertising identifiers — used by our advertising partner to show ads (see section 4).
2. How we use your information
- To provide personalised horoscopes, tarot, compatibility and astronomy features.
- To create and secure your account and sync your saved content.
- To send opt-in notifications you have enabled (you can turn these off any time).
- To improve, troubleshoot and maintain the App.
- To display advertising that helps keep the App free.
3. Third-party services
We use trusted third parties to deliver certain features. Each processes data only as needed:
- NASA Open APIs and public sky-data providers — to fetch astronomy imagery and sky events (no personal data is sent).
- AI provider — to generate answers in the "Ask the Stars" feature. Your question text is processed to produce a response.
- Google AdMob — to serve ads (see below).
- Hosting & email — to run our backend and respond to support requests.
4. Advertising
The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may use device and advertising identifiers to show relevant ads and measure performance. You can control ad personalisation in your device settings, and where required we will ask for your consent. Learn more in Google's advertising policy.
5. Legal basis (UK GDPR)
We process your data on the basis of your consent (e.g. location, notifications, personalised ads), the performance of a contract (providing the App you signed up for), and our legitimate interests (keeping the App secure and improving it).
6. Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal obligations.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to withdraw consent, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any right, email [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk).
8. Children
Cosmic Daily is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures — encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we work hard to safeguard your data.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
